Horror Movie DILF: Rosemary's Baby
Name: Guy Woodhouse
Location: New York City, New York.
Occupation: Actor
Family: Wife, Rosemary Woodhouse - Step Son, Adrian (Andy) Woodhouse
Why Is He a DILF?: Love him or hate him, Guy Woodhouse is an undeniably charismatic little snake. He's also the kind of guy who would sacrifice anything (or anyone) to get to the top of the show biz ladder. In the early days of his career he showed much promise in the plays, "Luthor" and "Nobody Loves an Albatross" as well as numerous television dramas and commercials. Many have made mention of the gestures he made with his arms in "Luthor".
Guy's big break came at the expense of fellow actor, Donald Baumgart, who suddenly went blind allowing Guy to take over the role Baumgart had. Insider's claimed that Woodhouse "Made a deal with the devil", as his career seemed to go on the fast track since that point.
And, in fact, he did make a deal (if not with the devil firsthand, then with one of Old Scratch's associates); selling his wife's womb to a bunch of elderly Satanists so that she could carry the spawn of The Antichrist. What a dog!
Still though, there is something undeniably hot about a bastard who'd stoop to such levels to get what he wants - if not acting, Guy Woodhouse could have made an equally big name for himself in business or politics, the sleazy bastard!
Played By: John Cassavetes

Party Time at The Bramford

The question for today is:
If given the chance which event would you rather have attended ...
The soiree that Rosemary had for all of her young friends - the one with all those trendy Warhol-crowd-like posers, or...
Minnie and Roman's New Year's Eve celebration where they partied like it was The Year One! Or...

Oh, shut up with your "Oh, Gods" or we'll kill you, milk or no milk!
Of all the doddering, old Satanists who lived at the Bramford in New York City back in 1966, my personal favorite was Laura Louise McBirney.Played by the classic comic actress (and notorious lesbian), Patsy Kelly, Laura Louise was a chunky, blowsy broad who, when she first meets Rosemary (Mia Farrow), and discovers that she's having her period, tells her that during her red letter days, the pain would get so bad that her husband would give her gin that she'd sip through a straw.
Always a class act, Laura Louise seemed to enjoy knitting, standing around naked at Sabbats, and perusing the latest issue of The Reader's Digest (though the print proved so small, she often used a magnifying glass to read).
Also, something of control freak, Laura Louise thought nothing of telling Rosemary off when she discovers that her baby is actually the Anti-Christ and begins crying, "Oh God!" Laura Louise utters one of the greatest lines in movie history when she screams at Rosemary, "Oh, shut up with your "Oh, Gods" or we'll kill you, milk or no milk!"
And of course, who can forget the way she sticks her tongue out at Rosemary when the head of the coven Roman (Sidney Blackmer) tells her to sit down so that the mother can now bond with her child.
Laura Louise McBirney, my kind of witch.

Jo and Ro: Ira's Angels
Katherine Ross as Joanna Eberhart (l) and Mia Farrow as Rosemary Woodhouse(r)
The other night, my better half and I hunkered down in the living room to watch the original version of Ira Levin's classic, The Stepford Wives. While we had both seen this film before, we both felt compelled to comment on the obvious (sort of an anti feminist/feminist view of suburbia) and the not so obvious elements of the movie. (Paul Prentiss's Bobbie was probably a lesbian, and what was up with that hot pants / suspender get up she was wearing!?!?).
Later on, we both started to realize the similarities between The Stepford Wives and Levin's other classic, Rosemary's Baby: Women in supposedly happy marriages, sold out by their husbands .
As the movie continued, it became quite clear, that The Stepford Wives is actually just a re-telling of Rosemary's Baby, but with a different plot... for instance:
Stepford Wives: A young couple moves into a desirable suburban community. How's that old saying go? Just Because You're Paranoid Doesn't Mean They're Not Out to Get You!
Rosemary's Baby: A young couple moves into a desirable apartment house.
SW: Some of the neighbors seem odd.
RB: Some of the neighbors seem odd.
SW: Husband starts spending a lot of time with odd ball neighbors and joins The Men's Association.
RB: Husband starts spending a lot of time with odd ball neighbors and joins a Satanic Cult.
SW: Husband becomes distant from wife.
RB: Husband becomes distant from wife.
SW: Wife starts to become suspicious of other wives in the community, thinks they might be drugged, or that something is in the water.
RB: Wife starts to become suspicious of some of the neighbors, fears they might want her unborn child for rituals.
SW: Wife begins to act crazy, making her look like she might be having a breakdown.
RB: Ditto.
SW: Turns out that wife's suspicions are correct - but she only knows part of the story!
RB: Ditto.
Both Joanna Eberhart and Rosemary Woodhouse were victims of a conspiracy that they were smart enough to sort of figure out, but not smart enough to escape from.
Hmmm, so what was Ira Levin trying to tell us?
Clearly our sympathies are with these heroines, and yet I can't help but think that the similar tales are preaching some sort of message of hopelessness. That a loved one will sell you out for an acting career or to have a sex doll that keeps a neat house. Is that too deep? Or am I reading too much into this?
One thing's for sure, Joanna and Bobbie should have hightailed it out of Stepford , moved to California, and opened up a Women's Book Store ... maybe Rosemary Woodhouse could have joined them, she'd handle the occult section of the store.

Ruth Gordon has Risen from the Grave!

Edgartown, Massachusetts: Authorities have reported that the reanimated corpse of Academy Award winning actress, Ruth Gordon was seen wandering the streets of this sleepy town. "Miss Gordon died here in 1985 and was interred in the local cemetery per her wishes", said Edgartown police chief, William Samuels.
According to Chief Samuels, Gordon's zombie was first seen hobbling down Main Street. "She was not much but bones, a bad wig and her burial dress, but that old girl was moving with a purpose!"
Shortly after being sighted, it was then reported that Gordon's zombie was next seen on an Amtrak train that was headed for Los Angeles. Passengers on the same train all agreed that while she was indeed "living dead", Miss Gordon was purportedly pleasant and did not bother anyone.
"I am pretty sure she is heading back to Hollywood to kill anyone involved with the reported remake of Rosemary's Baby", said an Amtrak employee who wished to remain anonymous, "I think Michael Bay better go into hiding, because something tells me that she's going to tear his balls off when she finds him!"
In similar news, it was recently reported that the reanimated corpses of Patsy Kelly, Maurice Evans and Phil Leeds were also seen near the offices of Bay's production company, Platinum Dunes...
