Can't get enough of a good thing? That's what sequels are for. For better or worse, let's take a look at some of the movie posters that heralded the second go around of some of our fave horror films...
In a word, dreadful.
I know I saw this, but I can't remember anything about it.
I really wanted to like this one, but aside from the tequila worm monster, it was pretty tepid.

You don't remember Bruce the Shark eating a helicopter in Jaws II? Or the sheriff frying him with a remarkably accessible deep sea power cable? Has any franchise fallen so far, so fast?
the winner? a close call between Jaws 2 and Phantasm 2, but the balls take the win
I loved Fright Night 2 when I was a teenager. William Ragsdale in a bathrobe, Roddy McDowell camping it up, Julie Carmen vamping it up (whatever happened to her?), the rollerblading undead, where can you go wrong?
Many places it turns out. I saw it again last year and it has not aged well but it was fun at the time.
I loved Fright Night 2 when I was a kid too and I actually just watched it a few weeks ago. It holds up as a solid sequel that had the spirit of the original, but did it's own thing too. I think it's a bit difficult to find now and I had to get by less than legal means, but I would buy that shit in a heart beat if it got a decent DVD release!
As for the rest of these sequels, I love them all, but I can barely remember Exorcist II at all. Solid batch of follow-ups if you ask me!
