Retroactively arbitrarily imposing a homosexual subtext is one thing but then using the mere conjecture for manifesting empowerment for early representation of homosexuality in film is like spinning gold out of nothing. The dynamics between the two characters could also be explained by misogyny ironically. The relationship between the two men appearing more pronounced than their relationship with the female lead because she was a non character, written with the bias of women being unable to exist as rounded characters able to support any part of the plot aside from catalyzing a baby. Incredulous John Lockehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07630754352167660861noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2042846540404918552.post-75494743119908835702010-06-27T10:00:38.393-04:002010-06-27T10:00:38.393-04:00This is exactly why I love BLS and the blog scene ...This is exactly why I love BLS and the blog scene at large so much, Pax. I think the characters do a marvelous job portraying the complex relationships found in this masterpiece. I love watching Peter and Roger work together and that semi truck scene is so much more heartbreaking because of their rapport.Chris Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12360811267835990523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2042846540404918552.post-54682882843668453572010-06-16T14:41:22.646-04:002010-06-16T14:41:22.646-04:00Interesting post.
